Chapter thirty-two

Alexandra’s Hurt

The fury inside Alexandra’s heart burned brighter and faster when she received the summons from Jason.

How dare he summon her after what he did?

She was near her house, drinking a fine wine filled with special herbs from the Elemental Kingdom, which she would soon lose, when she received the summons. The mellow taste of the wine hadn’t even gone down her throat when she the summons yanked her out of the Elemental Kingdom and brought back to the human world. The rich scent of source energy vanished, replaced by the foul air of the Mortal World.

She almost crushed the wineglass in her hand when she spotted Samantha lying among the remains of a burned bed. Placing her glass to the side, she rushed forward and checked on Samantha’s pulse. The stink of burning wood and ashes still remained in the air, making her even sulkier.

“What have you done to her? Why did she burn her core fire?” she asked, trying to sense Sam’s condition.

Her source energy had been depleted to its minimum, and she had fallen unconscious because of the lack of it.

“I don’t know. There was—” Jason tried to answer, but she wasn’t going to buy it.

“Damn it, you animal. You couldn’t even hide your affair from a fine woman like her. Are you trying to kill her?” Samantha blurted, exposing her wounded hurt.

She could guess what must have happened. Somehow, Samantha had learned about Jason’s immoral activities and his affair with the Water Elemental from the royal family. And after discovering Jason’s cheating, Samantha must have burned her core fire and attempted to kill herself.

“Alexandra, can you help her? I need you to help her.” Jason squatted down next to her, grabbing her arm.

“Get off me, you lecher!” Alexandra shouted. “How could you cheat on her? You did this to her. You’re a killer!” she shouted, pushing him away, her lightning going berserk. “You are a beast in human form.” If she hadn’t been bonded with him, she would have killed him straightaway.

Wine! Yes, she had the wine.

“Li Wuan, get that wine glass for me,” she said to the only other person she wanted to talk with.

Once Li Wuan brought the glass, she opened Sam’s mouth and poured the wine inside her lips.

“What are you doing? Isn’t that wine?” Jason asked, frowning.

“Stop talking, beast. It’s a natural wine from the Elemental Kingdom, so it contains some source energy that will save her life.” Alexandra poured the mellow wine into Samantha’s mouth and helped her to gulp it down. It contained little source energy, but even that might save her life in this dire situation.

“Alexandra, I don’t know what’s going on with you, but I need source energy for her. Can you give it to me or not?” Jason asked.

“How dare you ask me that question? If I could give her source energy, I would have given it to her already.”

“I want you to give it to me so I can transfer it to her.”

“What is this nonsense? If things worked like this, everything would be different.
